1 Holowczyc Driver said:
"The stages will be better today but I am going very carefully."
6 Baldykov "I was
16 seconds slower than Holowczyc in that stage (SS12) but I've
a good car and I'm very happy."
5 Tsouloftas "I
am very relaxed this morning, All is going well and I am in no
rush - unless Baldykov has a problem. Otherwise I'm not going
to chase him."
11 Nasrallah Lost the
turbo boost in SS12. The turbo is still working but when it is
switched to maximum, nothing happens. The car is 35 - 40 HP down
on power. It can't be repaired until the next service. Driver
says: "Nevertheless I am still attacking."
12 Jeludov "The
car started first time this morning." (See Rally News 11).
15 Stylianou Retired
just after the finish of SS13 with broken differential.
16 Peratikos Had a rear
left puncture 2 kilometres before the end of SS12. They are very
happy with their position (they are leading Group N).
17 Lambrianides "I
made a wrong tyre choice for yesterday's conditions; they were
too hard and we were sliding everywhere. Today should be better."
23 Nicolaou "My
co-driver is a good teacher; I've learnt a lot this weekend."
(Nicolaou's co-driver is Andreas Christdoulides, one of Cyprus'
most experienced.)
25 Reininger "Yesterday
was more like 'Dirty Dancing' than rally racing. (This driver
only needs three Group N points from the Cyprus Rally to secure
him the European Production Car Championship.)
51 Kardanas "That last stage (SS12) was very fast and exciting. I know how to drive in this morning's conditions but yesterday was another story."
